This is an issue.

As long as that says direct rendering No you are using software only
openGL (mesa) and you will always have trouble to get a good frame
rate. Is there any form of DRI available? Its not accelerated 3d but
it is faster than software alone (its all i've got on one of my
laptops) sometimes you need to play with the xorg gfx drivers and set
options to enable DRI.
