[sldev] Unable to login with beta-1.14.1.1 RC r59992 codebase

Thanks Rob, and sorry for the churn.

As an FYI, the next release will be numbered 1.15.0 - this is the same 
code base as what was called 1.14.1. (The old version number was just 
dumb and didn't represent the scope of the changes well.)
