I have just done some testing with the Snowglobe version that came out last night.

Test Set 1
1 Clear cache
2 Log in and stand at a distance from the media prim
3 Press play then stop
4 Note that texture remains grey
5 Mouseover restores texture
6 Additional plays+stops from this position work as expected.
7 Move closer - issue reappears as with step 3-6

Test Set 2
1 Clear cache
2 Log in and stand at a distance from the media prim
3 Press play then stop
4 Note that texture remains grey
5 Mouseover restores texture
6 Wait 1 minute
7 Problem reappears

Test Set 3
1 Clear Cache
2 Log in and set up 3 media prims with 5m spacing from each other
3 Press play then stop
4 Note that texture remains grey
5 Mouseover restores texture
6 Additional plays+stops may still exhibit the problem, though after 1 or 2 plays+stops it may start working as expected.

> Media texture hesitates to return in scene after media play ends. Mouseover hastens the return.

> I, and a few others, have noticed that the parcel media texture on display prior to displaying a media item does not always return when the media ends or is stopped by the client media stop button. This tends to leave the "display screen" with what appears to be a 50% neutral grey texture. Using mouseover priority escalation causes the display of the media texture to return to normal.
