Could not reproduce. I was not able to view the online status of an alt who was on-line and not friended, and had chosen on the viewer to show the status to friends only.
Please add a repro if there is a special case where this is broken.

I am fairly sure it is already possible to make your online status private. I was not able to view the online status of an alt who was on-line and not friended.

> LL no longer allows residents to choose for themselves if they want others to know if they are on or off line. Mearly by looking at someones profile on line status can be seen. Residents at least used to be able to block someone in their friends list. This option was never enough, but it was something at least.
> Resisdents of all kinds will always encounter "that'" person or "those" peolple, that for what ever reason they would like to hide from and not offend or ostracize or mute or condsider harassing. Builders, Scriptors, Sellers of all kinds might enjoy being able to hide their on line status as well. Even though there is a "Busy" option, sometimes people will simply not contact you if you show off line.
> LL has very strong feelings on privacy, yet is currently not allowing its residents to enjoy simple options that would offer them more if they liked. I couldnt say, as I'm not a techy, but it seems allowing residents to hide if they want wouldnt be tremendously complex to do. In effect LL has made LESS privacy opions for residents not more.
