Master Kane commented on VWR-16132:
-----------------------------------

 Hi Adeon,

That's really odd considering that she didn't bake on 1.22 before downloading and installing and changing clothes on 1.23
She doesn't rebake/bake all the time, no need to. She however, used to be gray (lets don't go down that path (we think LL fixed that issue)) all the time she logged in. She just stood and rezzed in before going or doing anything. And most times not, she would just log out because of the time it took. By the time she seen herself, she's already gone through here missed messages/objects/notecards.

 Also this might mean something.
When installing 1.23, it installed in Program Files but under "Second Life 1.23.5" folder, and, the cache folders are default.
However, on the 1.22 viewer they are on a total different drive. Meaning, in programming, that when this is done, they do not look at each other (folders) or should not.
However, for some odd reason, SL picks up the user file (think its the XML settings file). Shouldn't this be a default install/use as well and not pull in the usual exsisting XML settings file.
the aboveis not a question, just an obsevation.

> I guess, I should have originally posted that:
> THIS IS ONLY A TEMP WORK AROUND
> Useing version: Second Life 1.23.5 (136262) Oct 14 2009 12:08:26 (Second Life Release)
> When wearing clothing items on these layers : Undershirt, underpants, tops, jackets, pants, gloves, that have ALPHA layered textures, avatar becomes invisable when worn.
> Here is a work around for what worked for me, I tested this on 5 pieces of clothing so far and has worked so far.
> Providing that the clothing piece IS MOD!
> 1) Wear clothing as normal
> 2) If avatar is invisable, Edit Apperaence, Choose clothing layer, change colors (TINT) then SELECT > SAVE Exit Edit.
> 3) Take OFF clothing
> 4) Wear SAME clothing
> 5) Go BACK into Appearence mode and change color (TINT) back to default (what is was before changing the color (TINT)) SELECT > SAVE and Exit Edit again.
> 6) Take clothing back off
> 7) Wear clothing once again.
> 8) Grab some Coffee and donuts, and have some fun :)
> These steps seemed to work for my wife's account so far as she has some older clothing items, back from 2007.
> Some would come in and some not. The ones I could not get to come in where NO MOD, other WERE MOD and was able to fix this issue (So far)
