Maybe not the easiest way, but could you create a group and give each member an individual role that was labelled with their name? That way the real name would display right above their avatar name.

BTW, Go Gamecocks! (my son's a sophomore in the Honors College)

Subject: [SLED] Could you give us some help?

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

I am a professor in the School of Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina. Our team has built a virtual center on Eduisland 4, including a library. The purposes of our creation are to: 1) serve as an LIS instructional aid, 2) connect on-campus and DE students in a virtual community, and 3) create a social network to connect information professionals and alums with current LIS students. Soon, we’ll have students to provide reference services in our library. You are welcome to visit our center, and here is the SLURL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Eduisland%204/73/216/25.

I am contacting you to ask your help. Several faculty members of our school asked me if we could have resident's real name as a label to display with the avatar's name. The reason that I ask this question is that we would like to use our center to host symposiums and other academic events. People really want to use their real names for professional reasons. However, we have not yet found a good way to do so. Can you help?

In addition, we like to find a good multimedia display board to show ppt (image files), quicktime film, and Web site. The function to display web site is extremely critical. Thank you very much. I look forward to hearing from you.

Feili Tu
