On Monday and Tuesday, there is a special event taking place in San
Jose in recognition of the visionary work by Doug Engelbart (December
8 is the 40th anniversary of the "Mother of All Demos" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mother_of_All_Demos
  ).

In honor of this historic moment, the Program for the Future http://programforthefuture.org/
is bringing together a stellar group of thinkers and doers to
"brainstorm ways to enhance our capability for problem solving,
decision making, knowledge organization, and planning in every field
of human endeavor."

For those unable to make it in person, The Tech Museum of Innovation
is streaming the presentations to its home in Second Life -- to gain
access, they request you complete the free registration form at http://virtualparticipants.eventbrite.com/

The NMC is honored to be part of the program, invited to share at
10:20am Monday PT on "The Story of the New Media Consortium – a
networked improvement community inspired by Engelbart " -- which is
not about us but YOU.
