Dear Robin,

As an active (beginner) researcher in SL, my initial assumpation is that the Research Group could (should) be the "place" for sharing research ideas, methods, advice, etc.
I don't whether everybody agree with me, and your comments are more than welcome...

Several people have asked me to invite them to join the Research group in Second Life. I'm happy to do that, but I wanted to make sure everyone knows what it actually is (or isn't).

I originally created the group with the sole purpose of being able to give researchers a title to use when they were actively conducting research inside of SL. It has nothing to do with archives, or shared research, or even meetings.

That said, maybe it should? Wouldn't it be great to have meetings once in a while to share best practices around conducting research in SL? Are you doing that already?
