I have to suggest more video power. I am trying to SL on a dell, 3.2 P4, 2 gigs of ram but only a ati x550 video card. SL is terrible, jerky, slow and very hard to interact with. I know my problem is the video card.

Firesabre has a low-end machine for usability testing. This machine has an
AthlonXP 1800, 1 GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon 9000, and dual-boot Windows
2000 and Windows XP.
When the test machine had only 512MB of RAM, SL was nearly unusable.
Having enough RAM is the key to using SL on older PCs.
