Howdy folks,

In case you missed it last week, Vernor Vinge wrote a piece for Nature
last week:

2020 Computing: The creativity machine - What will emerge from using
the Internet as a research tool? The answer, Vernor Vinge argues, will
be limited only by our imaginations.

In case you're not familiar with Vernor Vinge, he is a writer who came
to prominence in 1981 with his novella True Names, one of the earliest
stories to present a fully fleshed-out concept of cyberspace. So
having him specifically mention Second Life is kind of like having Tim
Berners-Lee mention your website. ;)
